The carrier we use to ship products to you depends on the amount and weight of items ordered. The majority of orders are shipped using our primary carrier, UPS and FedEx. Orders over 150 lbs, and certain other large items, can only be shipped via a freight carrier due to cost and weight.
* Please note that Freight shipments have different terms then that of UPS. Customers are required to handle the unloading of items from the trucks, rather then the shipping company. The exception will be if the customer selects lift gate and/or inside delivery service.
Shipping costs are based on the weight, size, and destination of the order.
Most orders placed on our website ship the same, or the next business day. Therefore your order should arrive according to the shipping method specified. If you place the order on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday then it will ship on the next business day. For precise shipping information please contact customer service.
Orders placed after 12:00pm Eastern Time will processed the following business day

Free Shipping will be by Ground.
All online orders that include a valid e-mail address will be sent an order acknowledgement. When the order is shipped from our distribution center you will receive a shipping confirmation via email to inform you of your order status. Your shipping confirmation will include ship date, carrier and tracking number if applicable. Please allow up to 24 hours after shipment for your tracking number to be activated. Tracking numbers on packages shipped via Priority Mail may take 1-2 business days from the date the package was shipped before they are activated. Standard delivery time for most orders is 3-6 business days.
Note: We are sorry, but at this time we are unable to provide tracking numbers on packages shipped via Canadian carriers.

- Returns, Replacements & Exchange
If for any reason you find our product unsatisfactory, you may return the product within 30 days of receipt for a in store credit. After 30 days from the purchase date, all returns will be accepted on an inspection basis only. If the product has any indication of wear and tear from the buyer the product return will be voided. Some products we sell are covered by a manufacturer's warranty that requires items to be sent directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair. Please contact the manufacturer before attempting to mail back your order. We do not issue refunds or store credit for products over 60 days from purchase date.
Any item being exchanged or returned will have a 10% restocking fee. You will also be responsible for any additional shipping cost. We do not allow any exchanges past 60 days of the original purchase date.
With the exception of shipping errors and damaged or defective products, all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds or credits are not issued for shipping charges.
For firearms and ammo we do not accept returns. This is due to safety reasons. If you find any defects with your product please contact the manufacture directly. We will also be more than happy to support any documentation the manufacture needs on the defect product. We are here for our customs and want to make sure they are treated properly.
- Canceling a Order
Any order that is placed and then canceled will be charged 10% of the total price for restocking fee or credit card processing fee to the seller.
- Sales Tax
Shadow Mountain Gear charges applicable sales tax on items purchased from any of our catalogs or online and shipped to the following states in the U.S.: CO.
The amount of tax charged is based on the applicable sales tax rate based on the shipping address and the appropriate rules for that tax jurisdiction. Shipping charges are not subject to tax in IA, OK, and MA. Shipping charges are subject to tax in all other states listed above. Note that the taxes presented at the time of order submission are only an estimate. Final calculation of applicable taxes will be performed when order ships and your credit card is charged.
For safety reasons we do not accept mail-in returns on ammunition, black powder, primers, reloading lead and brass or bullets.
"Backorder" means that one or more of the items on your order are currently out of stock. We will go ahead and ship the merchandise that is in stock, and will backorder the rest for 60 days, or until the item is available. As soon as the item is in stock, we will pack and ship it to you. You will not be charged for backordered items until they are processed to ship.
Your card is charged when the backordered item is shipped. If your order contains both in-stock and backordered items, you will initially be charged only for the in-stock portion of your order. The backordered item or items is charged to your account as it is shipped.
